UKCC-2020 Registration & FAQ

This is a unique opportunity for us all to get together from across the UK. Under the motto “I give.” we hope to:

  • Give our children an opportunity to find friends within the church and have fun in fellowship and participate in worship. Priest Jeremy has written a fantastic play which will appeal to all the children to participate in which will bring joy to everyone.
  • Give our youth an opportunity to extend and develop their friendships and inspire each other in their faith.
  • Give our singles and families an opportunity to enjoy each other’s company and celebrate a divine service in a wider gathering.
  • Give our seniors the chance to renew old friendships, share their experiences and enjoy the fruits of the labours in the congregation.
  • Give us all an opportunity to extend an invitation to family and friends to join us.

Answers

When do I need to register and pay by?

Today would be great and it will only take 2 minutes. We cannot accept registration or payment after the  30th June 2020

Where do I register for the event?

click here: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/nac-uk-church-convention-05-to-06-september-2020-registration-87859974549

The registration portal states ‘free’ why is there a cost?

Eventbrite offers a service to collect fees for a percentage of the fee. We have opted not to use this option to avoid additional cost. By doing this the page defaults to ‘free’

How much is my contribution?

For youth choosing to stay in halls of residence

2 nights B&B (Friday and Saturday) plus evening meal on Saturday   £50.00 (discounted youth rate)

1-night B&B (Saturday only) plus evening meal on Saturday            £40.00 (discounted youth rate)

For adults 18+  having an evening three course meal on Saturday    £15.00

Children eat free

This contribution goes towards funding the provision of accommodation and food, however any additional voluntary donation are welcome.

Deadline for registration and payment is 30th June 2020.

How do I bank my contribution and my voluntary donation?

Our preference is for a bank to bank transfer. Gift aid envelopes stamped with UKCC will be made available in all congregations. See picture below.

Can I join the event without registering?

No, as the organisers need to understand by the 30th June 2020 who and how many are attending. This is for organisational purposes including catering and safeguarding.

Where can I stay?

The youth can stay in the halls of residence provided they have registered for the event.

The De Vere Orchard hotel is on site and we suggest early reservation. A loyalty scheme leaflet has been handed out to all congregations and which offers a 10% discount. https://www.devere.co.uk/applause

There are many other options for B&B and hotels in the area.

I would like to make a donation. How can I financially support this unique event?

We very much appreciate any voluntary donation which will be used to help our members and families requiring financial support to attend the event.

Matthew 25:40, inspires us; ‘Assuredly, I say to you, in as much as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.’

Financial hardship does affect our congregations throughout the UK and members can donate via the UKCC stamped gift aid envelopes to ensure their support enables our brothers and sisters to attend.

What financial support is available?

Anyone who feels unable to attend due to financial constraints should contact their rector or district rector. Congregations are encouraged to raise funds locally to cover costs of attending.

Any congregation planning to hire a minibus must inform admin-hq@btconnect.com well in advance of the event. The church will reimburse the fuel on presentation of a receipt. The costs of hire will need to be met locally.

Although this will be a personal hire agreement, we strongly recommend the church policy on hiring a minibus is read and adhered to. The policy stipulates that the driver needs to be DBS certified. See link  below:-
