Text Word: John 3: 19-21, ‘And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For everyone practising evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed. But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be clearly seen, that they have been done in God.’
God’s wish is that we experience His love and care; and come to Him. Let us consider if those around us know that we are believers – is it obvious? Do we acknowledge what our heavenly Father has done for us? In scripture, Jesus refers to Himself as the light of the world, He is the clarity and provides purpose to what our lives are about.
Focus on Jesus helps us put aside the ‘self’. It is our task to love and respect each other, being aware that life has a deeper meaning. Do not wait until everything else is accomplished – our attitude should be; what can I do now?
Priest Kooijenga assisted and the congregation could witness the baptism of our three-month-old little sister in faith.
