Text word: Psalm 95:6-7, ‘Oh come, let us worship and bow down; let us kneel before the Lord and our Maker. For He is our God, and we are the people of His pasture, and the sheep of His hand. Today if you will hear His voice.’
The congregation were reminded that God is in our presence, He is not absent, however, sometimes we as humans cannot see His greatness or His glory.
Just as mountains can be enveloped by cloud; they are still there, just not visible.
Maybe we are experiencing cloud cover? We might be finding it difficult to continue in faith, however a divine service is the opportunity to recognise where came from and to return to the one that created us.
Our heavenly Father created a pasture for us – a place to sustain us and grow and it is not confined purely to the church building or at a point in time.
Rather, it is in the throes of life – the day to day interactions at work or school that we can say “I worship God,” by showing love and compassion to our neighbour.
Our services are moments for us to ponder our relationship with God and they create a desire to seek a deeper connection in our lives.
