Text word: Indeed, the Lord has proclaimed to the end of the world: “Say to the daughter of Zion, ‘Surely your salvation is coming; behold, His reward is with Him, and His work before Him.’”
Isaiah 62: 11.
Our district elder reminded us that it was of course, Remembrance Sunday. We remember those that gave their lives in conflict, they didn’t have a choice as the decision to go to war was made on their behalf.
Our hearts can be saddened by what goes on, however we must remember that when we take God’s word into our hearts, He opens our understanding and we can see His plan of salvation.
Let us stand in faith at what Christ has done and be aware that what has been sown will grow within us.
Priest Jordan and Priest Paisley also assisted.
At this was his last service in Glasgow before he retired, our district elder highlighted that it was a privilege to serve God’s children, he shared a special word from Psalms and encouraged the congregation to mature in faith. Let us remind ourselves of His powers, especially when life is difficult.
Psalm 121: 5-8 ‘The Lord is your keeper; The Lord is your shade at your right hand. The sun shall not strike you by day, nor the moon by night. The Lord shall preserve you from all evil; He shall preserve your soul. The Lord shall preserve your going out and your coming in, from this time forth, and even forevermore.’
Following the service the congregation enjoyed some time together in fellowship.
